Area Sales Manager – Ireland

Power / Electrical Infrastructure

£60,000–£65,000 base + £8,400 car allowance + performance bonus

We are working with an established specialist business operating within the power and electrical infrastructure market to appoint an Area Sales Manager covering Ireland.

This is an opportunity to take responsibility for developing an important geographical territory, working with customers involved in the development, delivery and maintenance of critical electrical and power infrastructure.

We are interested in speaking with commercially minded people from across the HV/MV, electrical infrastructure and associated markets.

Your background could include:

  • Power cables or cable accessories
  • HV / MV / EHV products
  • Switchgear
  • Transformers
  • Substations
  • Power or electrical distribution
  • Grid connections
  • Utilities
  • ICP / EPC environments
  • Renewable and energy infrastructure
  • Other relevant technical products sold into similar customers

You might currently be an Area or Regional Sales Manager, Business Development Manager, Sales Engineer, Technical Sales Engineer, Key Account Manager, Project Sales Manager or hold another commercially focused position within the sector.

Equally, we are interested in hearing from technically strong individuals who have developed significant customer and commercial exposure and believe they are ready to take greater ownership of business development and sales.

The opportunity

You will take responsibility for developing business across the North of England and Scotland, building upon existing activity while identifying and converting new opportunities across the territory.

The role will involve developing customer relationships, identifying projects and opportunities, growing revenue and margin and representing a technically credible specialist business within its market.

We are therefore looking for someone who combines enough technical understanding to engage credibly with customers with the commercial motivation to develop a territory.

Package:

  • £60,000–£65,000 base salary
  • £8,400 annual car allowance
  • 25% target bonus, linked to area revenue, margin and personal contribution
  • Opportunity to materially outperform target bonus for exceptional performance
  • 25 days' holiday plus bank holidays
  • Additional discretionary Christmas closure
  • Pension, with an enhanced scheme planned
