Shepcote Overview

Shepcote is a family-run business founded in 1969 based in Driffield, East Yorkshire. We pride ourselves on our first-class products and first-class service. We manufacture marzipan fruits and cake decorations under our own brand and own label. We source and supply sugar and syrups and ingredients such as nuts, seeds and dried fruit and beans, pulses and grains to bakeries, food service, health food shops and retail outlets including farm shops and delicatessens.

The Role

We are looking for a self-motivated and proactive Area Sales Manager to join our Sales Team around South Yorkshire, Derbyshire, Leicestershire, Nottinghamshire, Lincolnshire, Greater Manchester and surrounding counties.

This is a field-based role focused on maintaining and developing existing customers, identifying growth opportunities, and increasing sales and profitability within your designated area. You’ll spend the majority of your time on the road meeting customers, managing existing accounts, and building new ones across food service, wholesale, and retail sectors. With an expectation of growing and developing new accounts. Reporting to the Senior Sales Manager and Managing Director.

Key Responsibilities

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
