Area Sales Manager – Flooring
Selling Premium Flooring Solutions into Retailers
Territory: Midlands
Salary: £40,000 - £50,000 + £12,000 commission + Company Car + Benefits
Are you an experienced field sales professional with a passion for interiors, flooring or home improvement?
We're looking for an ambitious Area Sales Manager to join a leading flooring manufacturer, helping to grow sales across an established territory by developing relationships with independent flooring retailers, buying groups and selected national accounts. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys building long-term partnerships, identifying new business opportunities and helping customers grow through product knowledge, merchandising and exceptional service.
The Role
Reporting to the Regional Sales Manager, you'll be responsible for managing an existing customer base whilst identifying and winning new retail partners across your territory. You'll become a trusted advisor to your customers, providing commercial support, product training and merchandising solutions to maximise sales and increase market share.

Key responsibilities include:
- Managing a portfolio of independent flooring retailers and selected national retail accounts.
- Developing new business opportunities and opening new retail accounts.
- Promoting a portfolio of carpet, luxury vinyl tile (LVT), laminate and wood flooring solutions.
- Delivering product demonstrations and staff training.
- Negotiating commercial agreements and promotional activity.
- Working closely with distributors and internal support teams.
- Ensuring showroom displays and merchandising remain to a high standard.
- Producing accurate sales forecasts and managing your pipeline through the CRM system.
- Achieving and exceeding monthly and annual sales targets.
About You
We're looking for someone who enjoys being in front of customers and thrives on developing profitable business relationships. Ideally you'll have:
- Field sales experience within flooring, interiors, kitchens, bathrooms, building products or home improvement.
- Experience selling into retailers, merchants or independent businesses.
- A proven track record of growing sales and winning new business.
- Excellent relationship-building and negotiation skills.
- Strong commercial awareness.
- A proactive and self-motivated approach.
- Good planning and territory management skills.
- A full UK driving licence.
