Area Sales Manager – Access Platforms (AWP/MEWP) - Field/ Home-based, England

Up to £75k basic + 2 commission channels, car allowance and benefits

We are recruiting on behalf of a leading global construction equipment manufacturer that is continuing to expand its Access Platform division across the UK.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced AWP/MEWP sales professional to develop a territory, secure new customers and play an important role in the manufacturer’s continued growth within the UK market.

The Role

  • Develop sales of access platforms throughout England
  • Generate new business with rental companies, dealers, contractors and end users
  • Build and manage relationships with regional and national key accounts
  • Identify new customers, projects and market opportunities
  • Deliver product presentations, demonstrations and commercial proposals
  • Negotiate contracts and close high-value equipment sales
  • Develop and manage a strong pipeline of opportunities
  • Represent the business at exhibitions, customer events and industry meetings
  • Work closely with the company’s service, technical and European management teams

About You

  • Recent sales experience within access platforms, AWPs or MEWPs is essential
  • Experience working for an equipment manufacturer or OEM is strongly preferred
  • Strong knowledge of the UK access equipment market
  • An established network of rental companies, dealers and end users
  • A demonstrable record of winning new business and developing a sales territory
  • Experience negotiating and closing capital equipment sales
  • Proactive, commercially driven and comfortable working autonomously
  • Willing and able to travel regularly throughout England
  • Full UK driving licence
