The Role
This is a hunter's role. You'll be expected to get out, identify opportunities and win new customers, then develop those relationships so they keep growing. You'll have the backing to do it properly and the room to run your own diary and approach.
For a Territory Sales Manager or External Sales professional who has spent too long protecting an existing patch, this is a chance to build something. The business wants growth, and it wants it from people who know how to find it.
About You
You already sell in the construction industry and know how its customers think, buy and decide. You're at your best when you're winning new business, not waiting for repeat orders. You're commercially sharp, persistent and credible with everyone from site to senior management. You're also looking past your next deal to where your career goes over the next five or ten years.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

A construction supply business that is part of a large group of businesses. It has a clear ambition to grow and is looking to strengthen its sales team with people who will drive that growth rather than simply maintain what's already there.
Being part of a wider group matters. It brings stability and structure, and it gives you somewhere to go next. People who perform here have a genuine route forward, within this business and across the group, built over the long term rather than one job at a time.
“It took my CV and asked me questions relevant to understanding what kind of jobs to suggest for me. Suggestions were almost perfect. Jobs were exactly what I’ve been looking for.”
