Rugbi Industrial Supplies is looking for an ambitious and experienced Area Sales Manager to join our growing family-run business.

This is an exciting opportunity to manage and develop an established customer base while identifying and securing new business throughout East Wales and the Bristol area.

At Rugbi, you won’t be just another employee or a number. You’ll become an important member of our management team, with the opportunity to contribute ideas, influence decisions and play a genuine role in the company’s continued growth.

The Role

  • Build strong relationships with existing customers and identify opportunities to increase sales
  • Contact and visit prospective customers to generate new business
  • Develop the East Wales and Bristol sales territory
  • Arrange customer meetings, product demonstrations, and trials
  • Prepare quotations and follow up sales opportunities
  • Promote our full range of PPE, workwear, safety footwear, tools, janitorial products, site safety equipment, and industrial consumables
  • Work closely with our internal sales, purchasing, branding, and management teams
  • Maintain accurate sales activity, pipeline, and customer information
  • Provide excellent service and become a trusted point of contact for customers
  • Contribute ideas and market knowledge as part of the management team

About You

We’re looking for someone who is confident, motivated, and comfortable developing both existing and new customer relationships.

The successful candidate will ideally have:

  • Previous experience in field sales, account management, or business development
  • A proven ability to win new business and grow existing accounts
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
  • A professional, friendly, and customer-focused approach
  • The ability to manage their own territory and workload
  • Commercial awareness and a results-driven attitude
  • A full UK driving licence
  • Experience within PPE, workwear, construction, manufacturing, or industrial supplies would be beneficial, although not essential
