Soyang Europe is a leading supplier of digitally printable media serving wide and super-wide outdoor, retail point-of-sale, flag, and signage sectors. Based in Altham, Lancashire, the company operates a large warehouse holding over 1.3 million square meters of material to support reliable next-day distribution. Soyang Europe offers premium European and American manufactured products alongside innovative substrates from high-end partners in the Far East. Established in 2005 as a subsidiary of Soyang Technologies Co Ltd in China, the company focuses on “best in class” textile, banner, wall, and floor covering substrates. It is committed to creative, environmentally conscious solutions for display companies across the UK and Ireland.
Role Description
The Area Sales Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Accrington, responsible for driving sales growth and managing customer relationships within an assigned territory. Day-to-day activities include identifying new business opportunities, visiting customers and prospects, conducting product presentations, and providing technical and commercial support on Soyang Europe’s media and substrate solutions. The role involves managing the sales pipeline, negotiating pricing and contracts in line with company policies, and ensuring timely follow-up on leads and enquiries. The Area Sales Manager will collaborate closely with internal teams, including customer service, logistics, and marketing, to ensure excellent service levels and next-day delivery commitments are met. Regular reporting on sales performance, market trends, and competitor activity is expected, along with participation in trade shows, industry events, and product training sessions.

Qualifications

- Strong background in B2B sales, account management, and territory development, preferably within print media, signage, or related manufacturing industries.
- Proven ability in prospecting, lead generation, and pipeline management, with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, with the ability to explain technical product features and benefits clearly.
- Good commercial awareness, including pricing, margin, and basic contract terms, and the ability to make data-driven decisions.
- Effective relationship-building skills, with a customer-focused mindset and experience providing high-quality service and support.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills, including planning customer visits, managing schedules, and reporting activities accurately.
- Comfort with using CRM systems, email, and standard office software for managing accounts, preparing quotes, and producing sales reports.
- Willingness to travel regularly within the assigned area and a valid driving license.
- Experience in the display, POS, or large-format printing sector is highly advantageous.
- Relevant education in business, sales, marketing, or a related field is preferred, or equivalent professional
