Area Sales Manager Flooring
Job Title: Area Sales Manager Flooring
Industry Sector: Flooring, Independent Retailers, Retail Showrooms, Flooring Retailers & Distributors, Carpet, LVT, Vinyl Flooring, Tufted Carpet and Engineered Wood
Areas to be covered: North East, Yorkshire & Cumbria (TD, NE, CA, DL, DH, SR, TS, HG, YO, HU)
Remuneration: £38,000-£40,000 + £12,000-£15,000 Bonus
Benefits: Fully expensed hybrid car & full benefits
The Role
The role of the Area Sales Manager Flooring will involve:
- Field sales position selling a mid to high end manufactured range of carpet, as well as a quality range of LVT and engineered wood
- Selling into independent flooring retailers and distributors
- Responsible for circa 280 retail customers on patch
- £4m revenue responsibility
- Tasked with growing an area currently performing well against budget
- 90% account management, 10% new business development position
- Account sizes will vary from £5,000 per annum up to £70,000 per annum (although 2 x multi million pound accounts on the area)
- Supporting retail showrooms with merchandising

The Ideal Applicant
The ideal applicant will be an Area Sales Manager Flooring with:
- Must have proven field sales experience with LVT luxury vinyl tile, carpet or wood flooring
- Must have sold into flooring retail showrooms or buying group members
- Must be comfortable selling POS (point of sale) displays
- Would consider flooring/ carpet retail showroom experience if can demonstrate strong determination and desire for a field sales role
- Comfortable with occasional overnight stays when required
- Self-motivated/ enthusiastic
- Commercially aware
- Ideally worked for a flooring manufacturer
