Field Based – West Midlands & North Wales
£40,000 + commission + car + benefits

Are you a driven and proactive sales professional with a knack for building strong relationships and growing sales? Elevation Recruitment are excited to be working with a leading manufacturer who are seeking an experienced Area Sales Manager to join their team, covering the West Midlands and North Wales.
This position has become available due to an internal promotion and offers the opportunity to take ownership of a well-established territory generating around £700k in net revenue across approximately 250 active accounts.
As an Area Sales Manager, you will play a crucial role in growing sales across a diverse range of customers, including garden centres, farm shops, country stores, builders merchants, wholesalers and more.

You will have the support of your own dedicated internal Account Coordinator, working alongside you to help manage your customer base and maximise your time in the field, allowing you to focus on growing sales and building strong customer relationships.
Responsibilities of an Area Sales Manager:
- Driving profitable sales growth and exceeding targets across your territory.
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with approximately 250 active accounts across the West Midlands and North Wales.
- Developing business across garden centres, farm shops, country stores, builders’ merchants, garage forecourts, wholesalers and other retail customers.
- Growing the existing territory with a strong focus on developing the Wales business.
- Proactively identifying and securing new business opportunities to grow the customer base and revenue.
- Managing your territory as if you're running your own business, taking full ownership of your customers, diary and sales performance.
- Planning and managing approximately 100 customer visits per month.
- Working closely with your dedicated internal Account Coordinator, helping to manage their time and ensuring your accounts receive excellent service.
- Working approximately 3 days on the road and 2 days from home, with flexibility around your individual working style.
- Maintaining accurate customer and sales information across CRM systems, including HubSpot.
- Attending quarterly reviews at Head Office.

Requirements of an Area Sales Manager:
- A proven track record of sales success within a field-based or territory sales environment.
- You will be self-motivated, proactive and driven, with the ability to manage your own diary and take ownership of your territory.
- Strong commercial awareness with excellent communication, relationship-building and influencing skills.
- A persistent and tenacious attitude, with the drive to grow existing customers and identify new business opportunities.
- A strong personality and the confidence to build rapport and make a positive impression with customers.
- A competitive mindset, with the motivation to exceed both individual and team targets.
- Demonstrated achievements both professionally and personally, showing a clear drive to succeed.
- An organised and structured approach to work with good IT literacy and experience using CRM systems.
- A proactive and engaged approach, with interests and activities that demonstrate your personality and drive.
- Professional presentation and communication skills. We are keen to see your own CV and understand the person behind the experience.
- To be considered for this role, you must hold a full UK driving licence.
- Ideally based around Stoke, Shrewsbury, Wolverhampton or the surrounding areas, with the ability to effectively cover the West Midlands and North Wales.
