Area to be covered: Scotland, North East & Cumbria
Remuneration: £45,000-£50,000 neg. + Bonus
Benefits: Fully expensed hybrid company car + benefits package
Role Overview
The role of the Area Sales Manager Glass Products will involve:
- Field sales position selling a manufactured range of glass products such as: flat glass, processed glass, and toughened glass
- Selling into the construction, glazing, and architectural markets
- Targeting various fabricators and installers (not selling directly to the contractors that carry out the project work one stage removed from that!)
- Typically selling to metalwork companies, joinery companies, window manufacturers, trade window companies, furniture manufacturers, shop-fitters, interior fit-out companies, and a smaller element of dealing with merchants who will cut the flat glass down to size for window and door fabricators and small glazing retailers
- Circa 250 customers on the area
- 70% account management, 30% new business development
- Responsible for an area with a turnover of approximately £8m

Ideal Candidate
The ideal applicant will be an Area Sales Manager Glass Products with:
- Must have construction field sales experience in an associated industry
- Ideally from a glass, glazing, windows, fenestration, profiles, glass processing, glass machinery background
- If not glazing-related, you must have sold into fabricators or metalwork companies, joinery companies, window manufacturers, trade window companies, furniture manufacturers, shop-fitters, or interior fit-out companies
- Must have the tenacity to generate new business relationships
- Driven, hungry, and ambitious
