The role:

The role of the Area Sales Manager – Radiators, Plumbing & Heating will involve:

  • Field sales roles covering the North West and Leeds
  • Selling a distributed range of heating products: 85% compact radiators and 15% designer radiators (in stainless) and traditional towel rails
  • Field sales position selling to a mix of national and independent plumbers merchants, heating merchants, builders merchants and independent kitchen and bathroom retailers
  • Dealing with order values ranging from £500-£50k depending on project sizes
  • 50% of your time account managing existing key accounts, 50% developing new business opportunities
  • Turnover circa £3m, running very close to budget, 218 customers on patch
  • 100s of independent plumbers merchants, heating merchants, builders merchants and independent kitchen and bathroom retailers on patch, hence fantastic opportunity for growth and to make a name for yourself

  • 12 months+ field sales experience ideally in the heating, plumbing/ bathroom industry
  • New business hunter/ money hungry
  • Working for a manufacturer
  • Can hit ground running, ideally with a network of contacts within heating merchants, plumbers merchants, builders merchants or independent kitchen or bathroom retailers
  • Knowledge of plumbing, heating or bathroom associated products such as radiators, boilers, heating controls, heating cylinders, showers, taps, towel rails, sanitaryware advantageous (not essential)
  • Drive and determination
