Vent-Axia Area Sales Manager (New Build Residential, London)

Location: London - including Enfield, Harrow, Northwest London, Southwest London, and Twickenham (Relevant Postcodes – EN, HA, NW, SW, TW, UB and W).

Reporting to: Regional Southern Sales Director - New Build Residential

Vent-Axia, part of Volution Group plc, improves the indoor environment by providing ventilation solutions across the Residential and Commercial New Build, Repair and Maintenance segments of the UK construction market, with a focus in Private and Public housing, New Build developments and Commercial and Industrial buildings.

Job Profile:

The Vent-Axia Area Sales Manager (New Build Residential, London), will be responsible for the development of sales with nominated Housing Builders / Developers, Off-Site Manufactures / PUC Manufacturers, Main Contractors, M&E Consultants, M&E Contractors, Student Accommodation and Care Home Developers, using the current Building Regulations and SAP requirements.

Responsibilities:

  • Interface, engage and build relationships to generate sales to meet targets from your key accounts, and manage end-to-end process from specification to order.
  • Grasps technical issues and can deliver solutions to suit the customer’s needs.
  • Focussing your sales approach through technical solutions, product solutions, VE solutions, and CPD communications educating the customer base on the implications of current building regulations and SAP requirements.
  • Can build and present a value proposition using multimedia to a multi-level organisation.
  • To focus on delivering the mutually agreed general and personal objectives/expectations outlined with management.
  • To manage your key accounts base utilising fully the company CRM package to maximum effect.
  • A sound understanding of the respective product ranges and current building regulations.
  • Meets and exceeds targets and quotas. Measures their own performance and takes full responsibility for results in their area.
  • Attending high volume of weekly customer meetings. Minimises travel to maximise time in front of customer. Have systems in place to prioritise activities and manage administrative workload.
  • Attending black tie events to CIBSE dinners/ Social Housing & Commercial & Industrial team monthly meetings.

Requirements:

  • Between 3 to 5 years of proven experience in commercial sales, negotiation, business development, and account management.
  • Relevant experience within the building services sector, such as house building, property development, or related fields.
  • Or experience in electrical wholesale, HVAC distribution, plumbing supplies, or building materials is also welcomed, as comprehensive training will be offered.
  • Strong technical aptitude, with full residential ventilation training provided as part of the onboarding process.
  • A good understanding of current domestic building regulations is preferred, although complete regulation training and continuous development will be supplied.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) and CRM tools, with ability to manage administrative workload including emails.
  • Be available for occasional overnight stays.
  • Driving license.
