Up To £60,000 + bonus + car

Our retained client is a globally recognised leader in industrial automation and sensor technology, renowned for innovation, engineering excellence, and long-term customer partnerships. We are looking to appoint a dynamic and commercially driven Area Sales Manager to manage and develop the North East and Scotland territory.

This is an outstanding opportunity to join a highly respected automation brand with a strong product portfolio spanning sensors, networking, IO-Link, RFID, machine vision, safety, and industrial connectivity solutions.

The Role

Reporting to the Country Manager you will be responsible for developing existing customer relationships while identifying and securing new business opportunities across a broad range of industrial sectors including OEMs, systems integrators, and end users.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Managing and growing an established sales territory across the North East and Scotland
  • Developing relationships with OEMs, integrators, distributors, and end-user customers
  • Identifying new project opportunities and driving specification sales activity
  • Providing technical and commercial support across our client's automation portfolio
  • Working closely with internal technical specialists and support teams
  • Delivering against agreed sales targets and growth objectives
  • Maintaining strong market awareness and competitor knowledge

Candidate Profile

We are keen to speak with ambitious and technically capable sales professionals currently operating within industrial automation, sensors, controls, or related technologies.

Suitable backgrounds may include:

Requirements

  • Proven experience within industrial automation or engineering sales
  • Strong technical aptitude with the ability to discuss automation solutions confidently
  • Commercially driven with excellent relationship-building skills
  • Self-motivated and capable of managing a regional territory independently
  • Full UK driving licence
