From our base in Rugby we supply a full range of car, SUV/4x4 and van tyres to dealers, retailers, fast-fit and fleet customers across the country, backed by a committed sales, customer service and logistics team.
The role
Are you a tyre sales professional who knows the independents, fast-fits and fleets on your patch, and wants a brand behind you with the range and support to grow them?
Kumho Tyre UK is looking for an Area Sales Manager to own a territory, win new business and grow our share of the UK replacement market.
Reporting to the Sales Director, you will develop customer relationships, grow sales and margin, and deliver your KPI targets across your area.
What you’ll do
- Win new business with independent dealers, retailers, fast-fit, motor trade and fleet customers
- Grow existing accounts through range development, stocking agreements and sell-through support
- Deliver territory sales volume and margin targets in line with Kumho’s sales policies
- Ensure full commercial coverage of accounts supplied through our local warehouse network
- Work with the Sales Director on account development and, when directed, manage key accounts
- Keep the CRM up to date and provide regular sales forecasts and activity reports
- Represent Kumho at customer meetings, trade shows and industry events

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
