Area Sales Manager – FMCG – West Midlands

Established over 100 years ago, our client is a family-owned FMCG organisation, providing a range of drinks products to both on-trade & off-trade businesses. They have become one of the UK’s most established manufacturers, where heritage, craftsmanship and innovation have been combined to create well-loved products across the UK and beyond.

They are now looking for an Area Sales Manager to join their team in managing a portfolio of existing on-trade accounts and also seek new business within the on-trade space. Having become a multi-award-winning organisation, successful candidates will be able to hit the ground running as part of a well-established & well-respected brand.

This is a hybrid opportunity with face-to-face meetings across the West Midlands area circa four days per week, with the rest of your time spent working from home.

Responsibilities

  • Build & maintain long term relationships with key on-trade accounts across the West Midlands
  • Identify new business opportunities and close deals with new on-trade accounts
  • Conduct face-to-face meetings with both new & existing accounts
  • Develop & execute effective sales strategies to boost revenue across designated territory
  • Stay up to date on industry trends & local market to identify any threats & opportunities; adjust sales strategy accordingly
  • Provide regular reporting & data analysis to leadership teams
  • Utilize customer feedback to improve services and product offering
  • Create a long-term sales pipeline to ensure success of the territory, in line with company revenue targets

The Successful Candidate

  • 2+ years B2B sales experience, ideally within the drinks space
  • Experience managing on-trade accounts is ideal
  • Full UK driving license required
  • Based in the West Midlands

Area Sales Manager Package

  • Basic salary: up to £42,000
  • Bonus options
  • Car allowance (£450 / month)
