About the Opportunity
Our client is a well-established national service provider with a reputation for delivering exceptional customer support, operational excellence, and innovative solutions to businesses across the UK. As part of their continued growth strategy, they are seeking an ambitious and results-driven Area Sales Manager to take ownership of a high-potential territory and drive sustainable revenue growth.
The Role
As Area Sales Manager, you will be responsible for developing and executing a territory growth plan focused on new client acquisition, customer retention, and account development. You will engage with businesses across a variety of sectors, identifying opportunities to improve operational efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance service delivery through value-led commercial solutions.
You will manage the entire sales process, from prospecting and relationship building through to proposal creation, negotiation, and implementation, ensuring customers receive a seamless experience throughout their journey.

Key Responsibilities
- Proactively identify, target, and secure new business opportunities within your designated territory.
- Build, develop, and maintain strong commercial relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders.
- Create and deliver compelling, solution-focused sales proposals that clearly demonstrate commercial value.
- Develop a deep understanding of customer operations, challenges, and objectives to provide tailored recommendations.
- Manage a structured sales pipeline, ensuring accurate forecasting and reporting through CRM systems.
- Consistently achieve and exceed revenue, margin, and activity targets.
- Identify opportunities to grow spend within existing accounts and improve customer retention.
- Work collaboratively with internal departments to ensure exceptional customer service and successful delivery of solutions.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and regional opportunities to support business growth initiatives.
- Represent the business professionally at customer meetings, industry events, and networking opportunities.

About You
- A proven track record of delivering and exceeding sales targets within a business-to-business environment.
- Strong new business development and account management experience.
- Excellent relationship-building, communication, and negotiation skills.
- A consultative and value-led approach to selling.
- Strong commercial awareness and the ability to identify profitable growth opportunities.
- Experience using CRM systems to manage sales activity and customer engagement.
- Exceptional organisational and territory management skills.
- A full UK driving licence and willingness to travel regularly throughout the region.
