Area Sales Manager – South East & Kent
Are you an ambitious field sales professional with experience within the construction or building materials sector? My client are looking to recruit an Area Sales Manager to take ownership of the South East and Kent region, driving sales growth across key accounts and ensuring a strong market presence throughout the territory. This is an excellent opportunity for a highly motivated and commercially driven individual who enjoys building long-term customer relationships, achieving targets and identifying opportunities to grow market share.
Your responsibilities:
As Area Sales Manager, you will be responsible for managing and developing your territory while delivering against monthly sales objectives. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Achieving agreed monthly sales targets and business objectives across the South East and Kent region.
- Developing and maintaining strong relationships with major accounts to ensure my client has an active presence within key customers.
- Monitoring turnover performance across all accounts and identifying opportunities for continued growth.
- Managing your sales territory effectively to maximise revenue and profitability.
- Recommending sales and promotional activities to management that support business growth and customer engagement.
- Ensuring sales expenditure remains within agreed company budgets.
- Working in line with company management systems, policies and procedures at all times.
- Representing my client professionally within the marketplace and delivering exceptional customer service.

About you:
You will be a driven and focused sales professional with a genuine commitment to delivering results and contributing to the continued success of the business.
- Minimum of 3 years' successful sales experience within the current marketplace.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
- Excellent organisation and time management skills.
- Strong negotiation, listening and problem-solving skills.
- Minimum of 3 GCSEs at Grade C or equivalent, including English and Maths.
- Full, clean and valid UK driving licence.
- Competent user of Microsoft Office including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Commitment to following established company systems, processes and policies.

Package:

- Salary: £47,500 + £7,500 bonus (targeted)

What's expected?
The successful candidate will be enthusiastic, hardworking and reliable, with a positive attitude and a passion for developing customer relationships. This is a field-based role covering the South East and Kent, so flexibility is essential. Out-of-hours working may occasionally be required, including overnight stays where necessary.
