Area Sales Manager – Luxury Goods

Working with some of the world’s most prestigious names across the luxury and fashion sectors, our client is a global leader in the design, manufacture and supply of high-performance products. With a multi-billion-euro turnover and a strong track record of sustained international growth, this is an exciting opportunity to join a highly successful, globally recognised organisation with an established presence across multiple markets.
They are looking to appoint four Area Sales Managers to represent a portfolio of well-known, premium international brands, selling into independent opticians and retail stores.
The role will be a 50/50 split between account management and new business development, with a strong focus on building relationships, growing existing accounts and identifying new sales opportunities.

Responsibilities
- Develop and execute effective regional sales strategies to achieve and exceed revenue targets across the designated territory
- Build, strengthen and nurture long-term relationships with both new and existing independent retail accounts, ensuring regular and meaningful face-to-face engagement
- Lead engaging presentations and product showcases, introducing clients to new and seasonal collections at least twice annually
- Proactively identify, pursue and convert new business opportunities, following up on leads and referrals generated through field activity and networking
- Deliver effective product, brand and visual merchandising training to clients, ensuring products are positioned and presented to maximise commercial performance
- Represent the business at international events, industry exhibitions and key client meetings, while actively supporting marketing and visual merchandising initiatives
- Monitor client requirements and product availability, ensuring ranges are well maintained and orders are managed efficiently through to completion
- Act as a trusted commercial partner to clients, proactively identifying and resolving concerns relating to products or services to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction

The Successful Candidate
- 2+ years B2B field sales experience; experience in managing a territory & journey-planning is essential
- Experience selling to independent retailers is a plus
- Experience selling luxury consumer goods would be ideal, but wider industries would also be considered
- Candidates with FMCG, Medical or Optics sales backgrounds are encouraged to apply
- Full UK driving license
Area Sales Manager Package
- Basic salary: up to £50,000
- OTE: +£20,000
