Field Based | Monday–Friday | Full Time
Join an established British manufacturer with over 80 years of experience
Pemberton Park & Leisure Homes Ltd is a well-respected manufacturer of quality caravan holiday homes and lodges and has been trading for over 80 years.
As part of our continued growth, we're looking for an ambitious and experienced Area Sales Manager to take responsibility for a large sales territory covering North East England
Working across your own territory, you'll be responsible for developing existing customers, winning new business and growing sales.
The territory broadly covers from the Scottish border, across to the Pennines and down towards Nottingham, Lincoln and Hull.
Important – This is a fully field-based position, Monday to Friday. It is not a work-from-home or office-based role.
You'll spend the majority of your working week visiting customers, developing relationships and identifying new business opportunities across your territory.
Due to the size of the territory, regular overnight stays will be required, and applicants must be comfortable with travelling and staying away from home as part of the role.
You will need to be based within a suitable location for the territory and have a full, clean UK driving licence.
The Role
As Area Sales Manager, you'll be responsible for developing sales and customer relationships across your territory.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Managing and developing your geographical sales territory.
- Developing strong relationships with existing customers, dealers and key decision makers.
- Identifying and converting new business opportunities.
- Planning and carrying out regular customer visits to maintain strong relationships and maximise sales opportunities.
- Using sales data and market information to identify potential customers and areas for growth.
- Increasing Pemberton's brand presence throughout your territory.
- Supporting customers with sales, promotions and after-sales requirements.
- Monitoring competitor activity and providing market intelligence to the wider sales and marketing team.
- Maintaining accurate customer and sales information through the company's CRM system.
- Following up enquiries received through telephone, email and digital channels.
- Attending dealer, trade, public and park shows and representing the Pemberton brand professionally.
- Supporting show set-up and breakdown when required.
- Attending sales and marketing meetings at our Wigan office and other locations from time to time.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
