About the Role

Our client is a leading designer and manufacturer of sustainable, easy-to-use and accessible solutions for the residential and social housing sectors. They are looking for a commercially driven Area Sales Manager to take ownership of a territory covering Oxford, Swindon, Reading, Sutton and Bromley. The Area Sales Manager will report to the Sales Director.

ROLE of the Area Sales Manager:

  • Identify and qualify new business opportunities by understanding customer needs and proposing the right solutions.
  • Build a strong pipeline of distributors, installers, specifiers, projects and appointments to achieve revenue targets.
  • Deliver product demonstrations and presentations showcasing the benefits of the technology.
  • Track projects and orders in collaboration with the Inside Sales team.
  • Maintain accurate CRM records and manage your diary effectively.
  • Develop knowledge of the products, target industries and customer base.
  • Contribute ideas and best practices during team meetings.

PROFILE:

  • Proven success in new business development.
  • At least 2 years' experience in B2B field sales (Area Sales Manager, Territory Sales Representative, Sales Manager or similar), in a product environment.
  • Strong lead generation and appointment-setting experience.
  • Excellent communication, influencing and negotiation skills.
  • Organised, process-driven and confident using a CRM.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work autonomously.
  • Collaborative approach with strong relationship-building skills.
  • Comfortable presenting technical solutions (full training provided).
  • Full UK driving licence and residence within the territory.
