Job purpose:

The Area Sales Manager is responsible for driving regional sales performance, retailer excellence, and market growth across an assigned territory. The role will play a key part in supporting the successful launch and ongoing commercial performance of new Zeekr models in the UK, ensuring retail partners are fully prepared to deliver exceptional customer experiences, achieve sales targets, and strengthen the Zeekr brand presence.

The Area Sales Manager will manage relationships with area dealerships, monitor market and competitor activity, and provide support to the Head of Retail Sales in achieving regional sales targets and strengthening market presence.

Main responsibilities:

  • New Vehicle Launch & Commercial Readiness: Ensure regional readiness and maximize commercial performance of new Zeekr vehicle launches.
  • Product Knowledge & Training: Develop product expertise and ensure retailer teams are fully trained and equipped to sell Zeekr vehicles.
  • Demand Generation & Customer Acquisition: Drive lead generation, conversion, and order intake through local sales and marketing initiatives.
  • Retail Readiness & Brand Standards: Ensure retailers meet Zeekr’s operational, facility, and customer experience standards.
  • Area Dealership Management: Build strong retailer relationships and drive operational and sales performance.
  • Competition & Market Management: Monitor competitors, market trends, and pricing to identify opportunities and strengthen competitiveness.
  • Sales Performance Tracking: Monitor regional sales performance, identify gaps, and implement corrective actions.
  • Customer Satisfaction Initiatives: Support retailers in maintaining high customer service and satisfaction standards.
  • Leadership Support: Support senior retail, corporate, and fleet leadership with regional strategy, reporting, and cross-functional coordination.

Education, Skills, and Personal characteristics required:

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience within an automotive OEM, premium automotive retailer, or field sales environment.
  • Experience supporting new vehicle launches, product introductions, or market entry activities.
  • Proven track record of delivering sales growth through dealer or retailer networks.
  • Experience working within fast-paced, evolving business environments.
  • Demonstrable success in managing dealership relationships and consistently meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the automotive industry ecosystem and dealership operations.
  • Strong understanding of competitive market analysis and benchmarking methods.
