Regional Sales Manager – Plumbing Fittings

Remuneration: £50,000-£55,000 Neg. + 15-20% Bonus

Benefits: £500 car allowance + full benefits

Role Overview

The role of the Area Sales Manager – Plumbing Fittings will involve:

  • Field sales position, selling a distributed range of plumbing fitting, press fittings, pipe, ancillaries, accessories, and tooling
  • Selling into circa hundreds of trading merchant accounts, predominantly plumbers merchants but also plumbing and heating distributors
  • Inheriting an area that has not had dedicated full time field sales coverage
  • Tasked with growing turnover from £500,000 to £800,000
  • 75% of your time looking after the plumbers merchants and plumbing and heating distributors
  • 25% stimulating demand with mechanical contractors, plumbers, and plumbing and heating installers
  • 4 days a week on the road in front of customers, typically 4 visits per day

Ideal Applicant

The ideal applicant will be an Area Sales Manager – Plumbing Fittings with:

  • Proven field sales experience within the plumbing and heating industry
  • Must have sold into plumbers merchants
  • Ideally stimulated demand for plumbing products with mechanical contractors and plumbing installers
  • Familiarity with plumbing fitting, press fittings, pipe, ancillaries, accessories, and tooling may be advantageous
  • Proven account management/ account development skills
  • Excellent territory planning skills
  • Contacts within distributors is not essential but may be useful
  • Incredibly pro-active, driven, and motivated, prepared to manage the area as if it was your own business
  • Commercial acumen, resilient
