Area Sales Manager – London Region
Permanent | Hybrid | Sales | 40 Hours Per Week
Own the territory. Grow the business. Be the face of our brands.
We’re looking for a driven Area Sales Manager to take full ownership of our commercially significant and highly competitive London territory.
This is a hands-on, field-based role at the heart of our sales operation. You’ll grow turnover and profitability, strengthen customer relationships and build long-term brand presence across retail, trade, merchant and distribution partners.
You’ll combine clear account planning, customer insight and strong commercial relationships to deliver monthly revenue targets and sales growth across our brand and product portfolio.
What You Will Be Responsible For
Driving Sales and Territory Performance
- Grow turnover and profitability across direct and indirect accounts throughout Greater London.
- Own monthly revenue targets and sales growth across the company’s brands and product portfolio.
- Agree clear targets and objectives for each account and build structured area plans to deliver them.
- Adapt territory activity in response to regional and national market strategies.
Building Strong Customer Relationships
- Develop trusted, long-term relationships with retail, trade, merchant and distribution partners.
- Understand the commercial potential of each customer and tailor your approach accordingly.
- Work closely with London distribution partners to maximise sales and strengthen brand presence.
- Communicate the business strategy and product proposition clearly to London’s varied customer base.
Territory Planning and Customer Visits
- Plan and conduct regular, high-quality customer visits to maximise each account’s potential.
- Create and maintain an effective CRM journey plan that reflects travel across the London territory.
- Prioritise activity based on account opportunity, customer needs and business objectives.
- Maintain accurate CRM records and produce clear monthly performance reports.
Product, Specification and Market Insight
- Deliver or coordinate product training that builds customer knowledge and confidence.
- Identify potential Developer and Specification opportunities and share qualified leads with Specification Management.
- Feed customer suggestions about product modifications or new ideas to the appropriate teams.
- Monitor competitor products, activity and market movements across London.
- Represent the company professionally at trade events, exhibitions and corporate customer events.
For This Role We Would Need You To Demonstrate:
- You’ll be a self-motivated and commercially focused sales professional who enjoys being out with customers, building relationships and taking genuine ownership of territory performance.

Essential
- Previous experience in a similar sales role within a fast-paced commercial environment ideally within the kitchen, bathroom, home improvement or construction-related markets.
- Proven success selling into Trade and Retail customers.
- Strong relationship management skills and the ability to adapt to different customers and situations.
- Excellent organisation, planning, multitasking and communication skills.
- A solution-focused mindset with the ability to prioritise effectively.
- The self-motivation and discipline required to manage a field-based territory.
- Commercial awareness and confidence taking ownership of performance across multiple brands.
- Experience of working collaboratively with distribution partners to achieve shared goals.
- Experience of managing a complex metropolitan territory such as London.
- Experience identifying Developer, Contract or Specification opportunities.
- Confidence using CRM systems for journey planning, account management and reporting.
- Experience delivering product presentations or customer training.
