Role Purpose

As an Area Sales Manager, you will drive profitable growth across the South of the UK by developing and winning industrial dust and fume extraction projects. Working directly with manufacturing businesses, you'll build trusted relationships, understand customer processes and deliver technically sound solutions that improve workplace safety, compliance and operational performance. You'll manage opportunities from initial enquiry through to project handover while growing your territory through both inbound leads and proactive business development.

Key Responsibilities

Business Development

  • Generate new business opportunities across the territory.
  • Convert inbound enquiries into profitable orders.
  • Identify new applications and target customers.
  • Develop long-term customer relationships.

Consultative Sales

  • Conduct site surveys.
  • Understand manufacturing processes.
  • Recommend technically appropriate solutions.
  • Produce commercial proposals.

Territory Management

  • Own and develop the South UK territory.
  • Maintain an accurate CRM pipeline.
  • Deliver sales and profit targets.
  • Forecast accurately.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work with Engineering.
  • Work with Projects.
  • Work with Service.
  • Ensure smooth project handovers.

Continuous Improvement

  • Monitor competitors.
  • Identify market trends.

Skills & Experience

Experience

  • Proven industrial B2B sales experience.
  • Experience managing technical projects.
  • Track record of achieving targets.

Technical Knowledge

  • Dust/Fume/LEV experience desirable.
  • Ability to understand manufacturing processes.
  • Technical aptitude.
