Area Sales Manager - South of the UK

We are working with an established global manufacturer of power generation and energy solutions to recruit an Area Sales Manager covering the South of the UK.

Applying for this role is straightforward. Scroll down and click on Apply to be considered for this position.

About the Role

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced sales professional to take ownership of a significant territory, developing existing customer relationships while identifying and winning new business across the hire, construction, industrial and associated markets.

The business manufactures a broad range of equipment including mobile and portable generators, commercial and industrial power solutions, lighting towers and battery energy storage systems.

The variety of the product range means one day you could be discussing a fleet of mobile generators and lighting towers with a hire company, the next a larger standby power solution with a commercial customer, portable generators with a dealer or newer battery storage and hybrid power solutions.

Responsibilities

As Area Sales Manager, you will be responsible for developing sales across the South East, London and South West, managing your territory with a high degree of autonomy.

This is a genuinely field-based sales position suited to somebody who enjoys being in front of customers, building relationships and developing opportunities.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
