Are you a proven B2B sales professional who genuinely enjoys winning new business?
We're looking for an Area Sales Manager to take ownership of a defined territory and drive growth through a predominantly new-business-focused sales role.
You'll be responsible for introducing our clients comprehensive maintenance and service solution for the upkeep/repair of capital equipment that is crucial to the smooth and successful running of their operations. These organisations will be those where reliability, service and long-term partnership really matter. Your target market will include hospitals and healthcare organisations, care homes, universities, schools, prisons, and selected hotel groups.
While there is an expectation for you to self-generate some of your new leads, you will also have the robust support of an internal team who will identify, qualify, and pass potential new opportunities for you to investigate and convert. The majority of your meetings will be pre-booked for you, leaving you time to complete various admin tasks, follow up on quotes submitted, and close business!
This is a role for someone who enjoys the hunt - identifying opportunities, opening doors, building relationships with decision-makers, and ultimately winning the business.
Once you've won a customer, you'll retain responsibility for that relationship, with the role gradually developing to include more account management, retention, and growth. However, new business will always remain a significant part of the role, so a genuine appetite for winning new customers is essential.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
