Area Sales Manager – Electronic Components | North UK
Home & Field Based | Established Accounts + New Business
Salary paying up to £55,000 plus Company Benefits, Commission and Car or Allowance
Are you an experienced electronic components salesperson who wants a territory with something to build from, but plenty still to build?
MRSL Group is supporting an established franchised electronic component distributor looking to strengthen their sales presence across the North of the UK.
This is a replacement position, which means you won't be walking into a completely cold territory.
There are existing customers and accounts to inherit, giving you a foundation from day one. However, these aren't account-maintenance roles. We're looking for people who enjoy business development, getting in front of customers, finding new opportunities, and growing a territory.
What will you be doing?

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Experience fit
Your summer at the bank plus your econometrics coursework map directly to the day-one responsibilities on this scheme — client modelling, market briefings, and deal support.

Your very own career expert that helps elevate your application to the next level.
Ideally, you'll already have experience within electronic components, particularly from a Contract Manufacturer or Franchised Distribution environment.
Knowledge across areas such as Interconnect, Passives, Electromechanical, Semiconductors, Power, RF/Wireless, or related component technologies would be of interest.
You're not being asked to build a territory completely from zero, but you're also not being hired simply to look after what's already there.
You'll inherit relationships and revenue while having the freedom and expectation to develop the region further.
If you're successful in electronic component sales and would like to understand more about this opportunity, apply confidentially, and we'll have an initial conversation.
