Resideo is seeking a proactive Area Sales Manager – Trade and Installer Channels

Resideo is seeking a proactive Area Sales Manager – Trade and Installer Channels to strengthen our market presence across the North London and Essex regions. Resideo is a global leader in residential heating and water solutions, and our strong brands Honeywell Home and Braukmann are widely established across Europe. While the role offers flexibility, it is best suited for candidates located in the North London and Essex regions.

Job Overview

This is a field-based role in which you will be responsible for driving sales growth, market share, and customer engagement across an assigned territory. The role develops installer demand, strengthens merchant and distribution partnerships, and delivers profitable sales growth.

Job Duties

  • To sell Resideo heating and water solutions through merchant networks to medium/large installers, merchants, and distribution partners.
  • Capture and record installer details and opt-in agreements within Salesforce, including merchant purchasing preferences.
  • Refer smaller installers through the Salesforce lead process to Inside Sales.
  • Achieve agreed sales, revenue, and margin targets.
  • Build strong relationships with key merchants and distribution contacts.
  • Utilise Salesforce.com to plan, record, and report activity, pipeline opportunities, and territory performance.
  • Monitor competitor activity and provide market insights.
  • Develop a strong understanding of market trends and legislation.
  • Deliver product presentations, demonstrations, and training sessions.
  • Support Resideo Academy attendance and engagement objectives.
  • Represent Resideo at exhibitions, trade shows, and customer events.

Requirements

  • Proven field experience in technical sales.
  • Experience working with merchants and distributors, ideally in HVAC or a similar industry.
  • Strong business development and territory management skills.
  • CRM experience, ideally Salesforce.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Commercial negotiation skills.
  • Full UK driving license.

We Value

  • Experience or knowledge in HVAC, thermostat technologies, or smart home solutions would be beneficial.
  • Proficiency in CRM systems and Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Existing business relationships in a similar customer base.
  • Motivation to drive change and support team goals.
  • Passion for energy-efficient and sustainable solutions in the heating and water sectors.
