Role Overview
Reporting to the Group Sales Manager, the Area Sales Manager will be required to visit customers at their premises. You will be responsible for maintaining existing accounts as well as generating new business within your sales area.
Through our state of the art CRM system you will be required to prioritise your workload and manage your own diary to achieve your targets and meet the business goals. You must be computer literate and have the ability to prioritise your workload in an efficient and flexible manner.
To succeed in this role, you will have excellent communication skills and the ability to forge professional working relationships with new and existing customers. You must be commercially minded and have the drive and ambition to expand existing business and develop new accounts in your sales area.

Duties
- Represents the Dealership in the sale of machinery to customers in a defined sales area.
- Develop customer relationships to achieve sales targets and grow market share within your sales area.
- Maintain current product knowledge on features and benefits of all equipment and services and attends relevant sales training events.
- Knowledge of financing options to assist customers with securing the purchase of new and used goods.
- Conducts new equipment field demonstrations.
- Executes goods delivery and follow up, according to the follow up procedure.
- Builds strong and loyal relationships with defined sales area customers.
To succeed in this role, you will require
- 2+ years’ equipment sales experience.
- Good knowledge of agricultural equipment and farming operational practices.
- Ability to use standard computer applications, CRM systems, internet functions & sales tools.
- Familiar with John Deere and competitive products.
- Ability to analyse and interpret internal reports.
- Excellent customer relationship skills.
- Ability to work extended hours.
- Excellent attitude with integrity and honesty
