Area Sales Manager – FMCG - Luxury Goods / Fashion
Working with some of the world’s most prestigious names across the luxury fashion, sports and performance sectors, our client is a global leader in the design, manufacture and supply of high-performance products. With a turnover of more than €10 billion and a strong track record of continued international growth, this is an exciting opportunity to join a truly global organisation at an important stage of its expansion.
They are now seeking an Area Sales Manager to cover Wales, West Midlands, Hereford, Worcester, and Greater Manchester representing some of the world’s most iconic fashion brands and selling into independent opticians and retail outlets.
The role offers a 50/50 split between account management and new business development, with responsibility for managing and growing existing customer relationships while also identifying and securing new commercial opportunities across the region.
The successful candidate will be working with one of the organisation’s most prestigious and well-known consumer brands, giving them the opportunity to hit the ground running and make an immediate impact.

Responsibilities
- Develop and execute effective regional sales strategies to achieve and exceed revenue targets across the designated territory
- Build, strengthen and nurture long-term relationships with both new and existing independent retailers, ensuring regular and meaningful face-to-face engagement
- Lead engaging presentations and product showcases, introducing clients to new and seasonal collections at least twice annually
- Proactively identify, pursue and convert new business opportunities, following up on leads and referrals generated through field activity and networking
- Deliver effective product, brand and visual merchandising training to clients, ensuring products are positioned and presented to maximise commercial performance
- Represent the business at international events, industry exhibitions and key client meetings, while actively supporting marketing and visual merchandising initiatives
- Monitor client requirements and product availability, ensuring ranges are well maintained and orders are managed efficiently through to completion
- Act as a trusted commercial partner to clients, proactively identifying and resolving concerns relating to products or services to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction

The Successful Candidate
- 3+ years B2B field sales experience; experience in managing a territory & journey-planning is essential
- Experience selling into independent retailers & managing independent retailer accounts is ideal
- Candidates that have sold consumer goods, textiles, fashion, sporting goods, food and beverage, FMCG or medical products are encouraged to apply.
- Full UK driving license
- Area Sales, Territory Sales, Field Sales and Regional Sales candidates from any background should apply
Area Sales Manager Package
- Basic salary: up to £50,000
- OTE: +£20,000-£40,000
