Strategic Sales Professional

We are looking for a driven and commercially focused Strategic Sales Professional to join our team and play a key role in winning new business and driving sustainable growth.

As an individual contributor, you will be responsible for identifying and developing high-potential prospects, building strong relationships with key decision-makers, and converting opportunities into long-term contractual and SLA-based customer partnerships.

This is a proactive, new-business-focused role where you will take ownership of the full sales cycle, from prospecting and lead generation through to value-based selling, negotiation, and contract close.

Working closely with our Inside Sales & Customer Success Team, you will ensure a seamless handover of new customers and support a positive onboarding experience that lays the foundation for successful, long-term relationships.

Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will:

  • Identify and develop new business opportunities through proactive prospecting, networking, targeted outreach, and lead generation.
  • Build relationships with prospective customers, understanding their business needs, and developing tailored, value-led solutions.
  • Convert prospects into long-term customers, securing new contracts and SLA agreements that deliver sustainable business growth.
  • Own the sales process from start to finish, from initial discovery and qualification through to proposal, negotiation, and successful close.
  • Build and maintain a strong sales pipeline, ensuring opportunities, next steps, and forecasts are accurately managed through the CRM system.
  • Develop compelling commercial proposals and work within agreed pricing and contract approval processes.
  • Collaborate across the business, working closely with Inside Sales and Customer Success to ensure a smooth handover and positive onboarding experience for new customers.
  • Monitor sales performance and pipeline activity, using insights to continuously improve conversion rates and new business wins.
  • Stay informed on market and competitor activity, sharing customer and market insights to help strengthen our sales approach and value proposition.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
