Area Sales Manager (Field Based) – Cambridge/Sheffield/East Anglia – Engineering Company

We are currently recruiting for a market-leading hydraulics and engineering company, in one of the biggest growth sectors across the UK. This is a rare opportunity where our client is looking for people covering a wide range of sectors including hydraulics, constructions, logistics, engineering and more.

Role:

  • Develop and execute a territory sales plan focused on high-value industrial and construction prospects.
  • Maintain a strong pipeline and conduct 8 quality face-to-face customer meetings per day.
  • Win, onboard, and develop key accounts; negotiate pricing within company guidelines.
  • Partner with local Service Centres to coordinate delivery and customer satisfaction.
  • Maintain CRM accuracy and provide regular updates on pipeline and performance.

Candidate:

  • Have a minimum of 2+ years’ field sales experience
  • Ideally have a background in hydraulics, civil engineering or a technical background
  • Have a stable sales background
  • Someone who is structured in their approach to help build and develop accounts
  • Experience with objection handling, pricing and looking at margin
  • Live on territory (Cambridge, Sheffield, East Anglia)
  • Good at building relationships
