Area Sales Rep – North West

We are currently recruiting for an Area Manager on behalf of an established, industry-leading wholesale and distribution business supplying a diverse portfolio of non-food consumer products into the retail sector.

The business works with retailers across the UK and Ireland, providing a broad range of everyday consumer products across categories including technology accessories, toys, stationery, household, automotive, pet, personal accessories, and seasonal products.

This is an excellent opportunity for a field-based sales professional looking to join a growing business where there is genuine opportunity to develop existing customer relationships and drive new sales across an established territory.

The Role

Responsible for managing and developing a portfolio of retail customers across your territory.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Managing and developing strong relationships with existing retail customers.
  • Identifying opportunities to increase sales and product penetration within existing accounts.
  • Developing new business opportunities across the territory.
  • Regularly visiting retail stores and working closely with customers.
  • Presenting and introducing new products and ranges.
  • Maximising sales performance across your designated area.
  • Maintaining strong relationships with key decision-makers.
  • Working closely with the wider sales team to achieve regional and company targets.

About You

We are looking for a proactive and commercially driven field sales professional who enjoys being out on the road developing customer relationships.

Ideally, you will have:

  • Recent FMCG, consumer goods, or retail field sales experience.
  • A proven track record of selling to independent retailers.
  • Strong relationship-building and communication skills.
  • A proactive approach to identifying and developing sales opportunities.
  • Excellent presentation and negotiation skills.
  • The motivation and drive to work independently across a defined territory.
  • A full UK driving licence.
