An established property management company is looking to appoint an Area Security Manager to support a portfolio of nine commercial and retail-led sites across Yorkshire and the East Midlands.

This is a strong opportunity for an experienced Security Manager, Security Lead, Contract Manager, or existing Area Manager who wants to move into a broader regional role with greater responsibility across governance, compliance, performance, and service standards.

Rather than directly managing every site day to day, each location has its own onsite lead in place. The Area Security Manager will sit above this structure, providing support, assurance, challenge, and consistency across the portfolio.

You will be responsible for:

  • Conducting site assurance and support visits across the regional portfolio
  • Ensuring compliance with internal procedures, assignment instructions, and security standards
  • Supporting onsite Security Leads with performance, training, and operational issues
  • Reviewing incidents, investigations, and action plans
  • Monitoring KPIs and service delivery standards
  • Supporting recruitment, inductions, and development across security teams
  • Working closely with property management teams, suppliers, and client stakeholders
  • Supporting employee relations matters alongside HR
  • Helping drive improvements in customer experience, technology, and security processes
  • Supporting new-site mobilisations, including TUPE, systems, training, and operational readiness

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
