We’re looking for an Area Service Manager (ASM) to join our Heathrow team, supporting the day-to-day management of our Lift and Escalator Engineers.
This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys leading people, keeping operations running smoothly and working in a busy, safety-focused environment.
The role
As Assistant Service Manager, you’ll support the management of our engineering teams across Heathrow, helping to ensure work is planned effectively, customers are supported and our engineers have what they need to deliver a safe and reliable service.
This is predominantly an office-based role at Heathrow, working closely with engineers and the wider operational team.
What you'll be doing
- Managing and supporting Lift and Escalator Engineers
- Coordinating day-to-day engineering activities and workload
- Supporting engineer performance, development and wellbeing
- Helping to ensure jobs are completed safely, efficiently and on time
- Monitoring operational performance and responding to issues
- Working closely with customers and internal teams
- Supporting planning, resources and priorities across the operation
- Promoting a strong safety culture
- Leading by example and helping maintain a positive, supportive team environment

What we're looking for
We’re looking for someone who:
- Has experience managing or supervising engineering/technical teams
- Is confident managing people and dealing with day-to-day operational challenges
- Has strong communication and organisational skills
- Can prioritise effectively in a busy environment
- Has a proactive, can-do approach
- Is comfortable working with different stakeholders
- Understands the importance of safety, quality and customer service
- Lift, escalator or similar engineering industry experience would be beneficial
Shift & location
- Location: Heathrow
- Shift: Days – 4 days on, 4 days off
- Working environment: Predominantly office based
- Holiday entitlement: 20 days
