The Role
The Street Lighting Team sits within our Universal Services directorate. We manage the ongoing maintenance and energy provision to street lights and other illuminated highway equipment. We also provide a range of services including provision of specialist advice and guidance to internal and external clients including major housing developers and consultants.
What you’ll do
Your role will be to assist with the monitoring of the contract, undertaking inspections, site measurements, and post-work checks to ensure works are completed in accordance with agreed plans and specifications. You'll also provide regular reports to senior managers as well as liaison with customers, contractors, and local authority clients.
The role will be linked to a Level 4 Asset Manager Apprenticeship subject to the successful candidate meeting the entry criteria and an appropriate training provider delivering the apprenticeship course. The postholder is expected to attend training and complete an 18-month Level 4 Project Management apprenticeship to develop knowledge, skills, and behaviors as set out in the standard: Level 4 Project Manager.

What we’re looking for
The Street Lighting Team in our Highways, Traffic, and Transport Group is looking for a skilled, enthusiastic, and self-motivated Area Street Lighting Technician to join the team. You'll be customer focused assisting with street lighting asset management to ensure successful delivery of the street lighting PFI contract.
