Job Introduction
Carlisle Support Services is looking for enthusiastic, reliable Area Supervisor to join a strong team of well trained, experienced, and passionate staff who strive to uphold company values and deliver exceptional services to our customers. Use the training provided to follow HSQE and rail critical safety.
The Role
Your core role will include but not be limited to the following activities:
- Rostering and Staff Allocation
- Manage staff performance using company policies and procedures.
- Ensure all staff have the relevant training as per their job as a station cleaning operative.
- Station Cleaning Training
- All members of the station cleaning team to be trained in:
- Washroom cleaning
- Litter picking
- Waste removal
- Guano removal
- Sweeping and mopping
- Low and high damp dusting
- Vacuuming
- Consumable replenishment
- Glazing
- Scrubber dryers
- Rotary machines
- All members of the station cleaning team to be trained in:
- Keep matrix up to date and act on training requirements.
- Work with Carlisle Support Services central/Assistant Contract Manager to advertise and employ any vacancies within your team.
- Use auditing tool provided to complete comprehensive station audits.
- Outline failures and rectify faults within the designated KPI.
- Report on audits at the end of each rail period to line manager.
- Monitor station cleaning to prevent client requests.
- Ensure compliance is met with all daily checks.
- Daily checks consist of but are not exclusive to SQR, unmanned building, water, bike maintenance, drinking water, and rural cleans.
- Maintenance Of Fleet and Equipment
- Work in partnership with the client to ensure desired outcomes are reached.
- Put in preventative measures with support of line manager to show a proactive approach to the management of complaints.

The Ideal Candidate
- Good level of communication.
- Ability to work and lead a team.
- Ability to be proactive and efficient in approach.
- PTS [Personal Track Safety].
- Full UK Driving License would be desirable.
- Ability to solve problems and deal with ad hoc challenges.
- Ability to work from your own initiative.
Location
Locations covering Essex and various stations on this line.
Core Hours
Monday to Friday, but flexibility will be required for evenings and weekends.
