Role Description
The Area Support Manager is a full-time, term time only, hybrid role based around the Greater Guildford and Surrey area, United Kingdom. An ideal opportunity for a site chef manager to step into the next part of their career progression. Working with a fabulous Operations Manager, this role oversees multiple catering sites, ensuring consistent delivery of fresh, healthy meals and high standards of food safety, quality, and customer service. Day-to-day responsibilities include supporting site managers, covering sites in the event of absence or sickness, monitoring performance and compliance, and assisting the operations manager with training and development of on-site teams. The Area Support Manager will visit locations regularly, handle operational issues, and also liaise with clients.

What That Person Could Bring
- A positive, driven individual that loves people and has a mission to deliver great food to school pupils.
- Demonstrated experience in management within catering, hospitality, food service, or a relatable field preferable in the education sector.
- Operational skills, including staff coordination, and day-to-day on-site support and cover.
- Knowledge of food safety, hygiene regulations, and best practices for healthy, balanced meal preparation.
- Proven ability to build effective relationships with clients, suppliers, and internal teams, with strong communication skills.
- Some experience in training, and supporting team members to achieve performance and service standards is beneficial.
- Competence with basic IT tools (email, spreadsheets, reporting systems) and willingness to use company systems for documentation and monitoring.
- Ability to travel for work regularly across the Greater Guildford and Surrey Area.
