London Northwestern Railway
London Northwestern Railway is seeking a highly capable Area Train Presentation Manager to provide strategic and operational leadership across multiple locations including Northampton, Milton Keynes, and Euston.
A key element of the role is to lead, support, and motivate the On-Train cleaning leadership team to ensure safe, efficient, and specification-compliant cleaning processes are achieved across all sites.
This position requires a flexible approach, with mixed shifts that include both days and nights to support a continuous, multi-site operation.
You'll be passionate about creating a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for our customers while driving continuous improvement, innovation, and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage train presentation and cleaning teams across multiple locations, ensuring high standards of cleanliness, safety, and customer experience are consistently achieved.
- Drive operational excellence by monitoring performance, analyzing customer feedback and service quality results, and implementing continuous improvement initiatives.
- Build effective stakeholder relationships with Fleet Depot Managers and operational colleagues to maintain consistent train presentation standards across the network.
- Manage people and resources, including workforce planning, recruitment, training, performance management, and employee engagement activities.
- Promote a strong safety culture by ensuring compliance with all health, safety, and company standards, while supporting positive industrial and employee relations.
- Support business continuity and efficiency through budget management, contingency planning, incident response, and deputising for the Train Presentation Manager as required.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- Proven leadership capability with experience motivating, supporting, and developing operational teams in a multi-site environment.
- Strong understanding of cleaning operations, including safe and efficient delivery of cleaning processes in line with specifications, standards, and industry regulations.
- Comprehensive knowledge of Health & Safety legislation, PPE requirements, and site safety protocols.
- Operational planning expertise, with the ability to produce effective cleaning plans, staff rosters, and resource allocations to meet train schedules and business needs.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to deliver briefings, conduct 1:1s, and maintain clear, consistent communication across teams and departments.
- Experience managing performance and compliance.
- Strong organizational and administrative capability, including control of annual leave, absence management, disciplinary processes, and training records.
- Ability to work flexibly, including mixed day and night shifts, to support a 24/7 operational railway.
Desirable
- Level 4 Passenger Transport Operations Manager apprenticeship and/or equivalent HND level of education.
- Industrial relations management, including effective liaison with recognized staff representatives and participation in formal consultation processes.
To ensure continuity and an effective delivery of service, successful candidates will be required to commit to a minimum 14-month period in role after achieving competence. This also includes existing colleagues who move by internal promotions and transfers. This time allows our future colleagues to support personal career development by allowing time to build strong knowledge and expertise.
