Leaving the Armed Forces, or already left and exploring your next career move?
DISCOVERY is a unique six-week industry taster programme designed to help service leavers explore a range of exciting civilian career opportunities across British Engineering Services Group.
Through industry insight sessions, site visits, and hands-on experiences, you'll gain exposure to several specialist sectors, helping you understand where your skills, interests, and future ambitions could take you.
What you'll discover
DISCOVERY is more than a work experience programme. It's an opportunity to explore multiple industries, gain recognised qualifications, and focus on the career path that best matches your interests and ambitions.
Weeks 1-3: Explore industries
Week 4: Gain accredited qualifications
Weeks 5-6: Follow a specialist pathway

Who is it for?
Open to Armed Forces Service Leavers, veterans, and anyone who has already transitioned into civilian life and is exploring their next career move.
No Previous Qualifications Or Industry Experience Are Required.
We're looking for individuals who are curious, motivated, and keen to learn more about the opportunities available across engineering, inspection, and technical services.
We welcome applications from individuals who are able to commute to our Warrington training centre for the programme's duration.

Please note: Places on the November 2026 Discovery Programme are limited to just 15 participants. If you are not offered a place on this cohort, your application will be considered for future programmes, which we plan to run quarterly throughout 2027.
