Role Overview

An ARMO Mechanic is responsible for maintaining oil field equipment such as Wireline and Slickline tools in accordance with operating specifications, while conducting mechanical inspections and recertification, using moderately complex diagnostic equipment, and reviewing procedures for assembly, disassembly, and test verification accuracy. The role involves configuring test stations and systems, facilitating third-party repairs when required, and analyzing and interpreting data from environmental tests while troubleshooting equipment problems. By applying analytical ability, the mechanic is continuously finding solutions to difficult technical problems, maintaining records, and scheduling equipment maintenance. Responsibilities also include maintaining equipment records and filing systems as part of quality control and assurance programs, inspecting and disposing of parts and equipment, complying with HS&E policies and procedures, and handling projects as assigned.

Responsibilities

As an ARMO Mechanic, you will be responsible for:

  • Maintaining assigned Wireline/Slickline units, and related equipment in accordance with operating specifications.
  • Performing mechanical assembly, testing, repairs, troubleshooting and inspections on Diesel Engines/Hydraulics circuits.
  • Reviewing procedures for assembly, disassembly and test verification accuracy and configuring test stations where required.
  • Maintaining equipment records and filing systems as part of quality control and assurance programs whilst ensuring compliance with HS&E policies.

Requirements

To be successful in this role you will:

  • Be a time-served mechanic, with experience in mechanical repairs of Diesel Engines/Hydraulic Systems.
  • Have experience working in an Oil & Gas, LGV, HVG or Agricultural/machinery repairs setting.
  • Be a good team player and display good communication skills with fluency in English.
  • Be able to read and interpret drawings, wiring diagrams, assembly printouts, and parts lists, and follow formal and service procedures.
