About This Programme
Arnold & Porter Accelerate is a paid two-week work experience programme for Year 12 students from underrepresented backgrounds who want to pursue a career in law. In week one you'll spend five days at Arnold & Porter's London office gaining hands-on insight into life at a global law firm through workshops, sessions, and real legal work. In week two you'll visit five different organisations through the Social Mobility Business Partnership, getting exposure to a range of industries and in-house legal roles. Beyond the two weeks, you'll be matched with an Arnold & Porter mentor throughout Year 13 through the structured Mentoring Works programme, giving you ongoing guidance as you navigate your A Levels and future applications. All travel costs are covered and paid in advance, and lunch is provided every day. Applications for the 2027/28 programme open October 2026.

Year 12 students at a state-funded non-fee-paying school who want to pursue a career in law. Must live within 90 minutes of the London office as accommodation cannot be provided. Average GCSE grade of 5.5 or above preferred. Must meet at least one PRIME criterion — Free School Meals or Pupil Premium, care experienced, carer, parent in routine or manual occupation, refugee or asylum seeker, first generation to university, or attending a school with below average A Level attainment or low progression to higher education.
