Responsibilities
You will be responsible for:

  • Contributing to a proactive approach to solve potential Distribution/Leakage problems realistically to ensure the level of customer inconvenience is minimized. This will include:
    • Showing a keen willingness to work consistently as part of a team
    • Achieving and maintaining area leakage targets
    • Responding and working alongside all other departments during Money and Gold events
    • Ensuring all GIS updates are submitted to the GIS office to enable Dŵr Cymru to maintain high-quality information
    • Ensuring Dŵr Cymru leakage targets are met using various techniques to reduce leakages
    • Ensuring proper operation and compliance with all company health and safety procedures, with colleague and customer safety always in sight
    • Discussing effectively with colleagues in the distribution team during regular work practices and in times of crisis, identifying network/leakage solutions
    • Ensuring accurate details are recorded in the various IT systems daily
    • Ensuring compliance with correct work practices on-site during and outside of working hours
    • Performing visual surveys
    • Representing Dŵr Cymru through the project lifecycle, assisting the partner as needed through project development, planning, approval, and statutory processes
    • Dealing with sometimes difficult situations in a friendly and professional manner, while trying to find a quick solution
    • Making recommendations for network improvement
    • Organizing your time effectively, dealing with routine work with as little supervision as possible, assessing priorities in your area of work, and managing those priorities
    • Undertaking any other duties as requested to meet business needs

Requirements

  • Current full driving license
  • Good customer service experience
  • Proficient in computing
  • Passionate about putting our customers first every day
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Good knowledge of the water industry
  • Effective communication skills
  • The determination and ambition to provide a first-class service to our customers
  • Solid understanding of Microsoft software packages including but not limited to Excel, Word
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team as required
  • Ability to develop and maintain good networks with internal departments, company partners, and contractors
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines and under difficult circumstances, while still providing a seamless service to our customers
