Discover yourself in Lewisham where what you do makes a difference to our vibrant and culturally diverse communities!

We have a rich history of welcoming people from all over the world and are proud to be recognised as the UK’s first Borough of Sanctuary, for our work in championing the rights of refugees and migrants.

Introduction

Are you passionate about ensuring adults with care and support needs can live as independently and safely as possible? We’re looking for a motivated and solution-focused Arranging Care Officer to join our busy and dynamic Arranging Care Team.

What’s the role?

As an Arranging Care Officer, you will play a key role in brokering and coordinating care packages for adults who need emergency, temporary, or long-term residential, nursing or community-based support. You’ll ensure each person receives the right care in the most independent, cost-effective and enabling setting possible.

Working closely with social workers, healthcare professionals, providers and families, you will:

  • Source and negotiate appropriate placements and services
  • Maintain up-to-date records across case management and financial systems, including issuing contracts and service costs
  • Provide high-quality information and advice to service users and their representatives
  • Support service transitions, hospital discharges, and urgent placements

This is a role for someone who enjoys combining problem-solving, coordination, communication and professional judgement to ensure people receive the care they need—at the right time and in the right way.

What’s in it for you?

Excellent training and development opportunities, plus a range of benefits including:

  • Generous holiday allowance
  • Local Government Pension scheme
  • Flexible working and family friendly policies
  • Season ticket and bicycle loans
  • A range of staff discounts including local subsidised gym memberships
  • Supportive staff networks

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
