Head of Development Projects – Europe
Arrow Capital | London / European remit
Capstone Recruitment has been retained by Arrow Capital to appoint a Head of Development Projects – Europe, a senior role providing development, project and technical leadership across Arrow’s UK & European real estate portfolio.
Based in London, the role will have a broad remit across Arrow’s investment activities in the UK and Western Europe, working across development projects, standing asset capital expenditure and the wider investment and credit platform.
The role
This is a senior position with responsibility for overseeing projects from acquisition and due diligence through development, delivery, refurbishment and asset-level capital expenditure.
The role will work closely with Arrow’s investment and asset management teams, providing project and technical expertise throughout the investment lifecycle. Rather than acting as a day-to-day Project Manager, the successful candidate will appoint, manage and challenge external consultants, contractors and delivery partners to ensure projects are commercially and technically well managed.
The portfolio includes projects across the UK, Germany, Netherlands, Spain, Portugal, Ireland and the Nordics, with regular European travel forming part of the role.

Key responsibilities will include:
- Leading development and capital projects across Arrow’s European portfolio
- Providing development, project and technical input into new acquisitions and investment opportunities
- Overseeing external Project Managers, Cost Consultants, design teams and other specialist advisers
- Managing project strategy, budgets, programmes, procurement and delivery risk
- Supporting due diligence and technical assessment of potential investments
- Working closely with investment and asset management teams to develop and execute business plans
- Providing senior-level reporting and recommendations to key stakeholders and investment committees
- Ensuring projects are delivered in line with commercial objectives and agreed investment strategy
The candidate
Arrow is looking for an experienced development/project professional who can operate confidently across both real estate investment and project delivery.
The successful candidate is likely to have 10+ years' experience and could currently be working within a real estate investor/fund, developer, consultancy or lender, provided they have gained strong client-side exposure.
Relevant experience is likely to include:
- Development and project management of complex real estate projects
- Strong commercial understanding of cost, programme and project risk
- Experience managing external consultants and delivery teams
- Technical and construction knowledge combined with an investment-led mindset
- Exposure to acquisitions, due diligence and investment decision-making
- Experience operating across European markets
- The ability to communicate effectively with senior investment, asset management and development stakeholders

Experience within industrial and logistics real estate would be advantageous, although Arrow is open to candidates from other sectors with relevant development and investment experience.
