Art Consultant – Early Career
Henley-on-Thames | £26,000–£30,000 base | OTE £40,000–£45,000 (uncapped commission) | 5 days per week, including weekends on a rota
We're working with a respected art gallery in Henley-on-Thames looking for an ambitious Art Consultant to join their team. This is a sales role. You'll be building relationships with collectors, guiding clients through the gallery's artists and closing sales, so you need to enjoy selling and be motivated by targets.
What you'll be doing
- You'll welcome clients into the gallery, get to know what they're looking for, and match them with work they'll love.
- You'll follow up leads, stay in touch with existing collectors, and gradually build your own client book.
- You'll also support exhibitions and events, which is often where the best conversations happen.

Who we're looking for
This role is really about personality. You're confident, curious, and good with people, you're comfortable asking for the sale, and you genuinely care about art. Experience in art sales or luxury retail, or a degree in art history or a related subject, would be an advantage but isn't essential. Drive and a willingness to learn matter more.

The role is five days a week and works on a rota that includes weekends.
