Art Consultant – Blue-Chip Contemporary Gallery, Central London
£40,000–£50,000 base + significant commission
Jackson Rose is working with one of London's leading contemporary art galleries to appoint an Art Consultant to its central London space. The gallery represents a programme of internationally recognised artists and estates, with a strong presence at the major art fairs and a loyal base of serious private and institutional collectors.
This is a sales-focused role for someone who enjoys building long-term relationships with collectors and has the confidence to close. You'll work closely with the gallery's directors to place works from the programme, develop your own client base, and look after collectors both in the gallery and at exhibitions, openings and fairs.

The role
- You'll be the first point of contact for collectors and visitors, guiding them through the exhibition programme and turning interest into acquisitions.
- Alongside this you'll grow and manage a network of clients, keep in close contact with them between shows, and bring new collectors into the gallery.
- You'll also support openings, private views and events, and work with the wider team on sales administration and client records.
About you

- You'll have experience in a commercial gallery, auction house or art advisory, ideally with a track record of sales or client relationship management.
- You'll have a genuine knowledge of and enthusiasm for contemporary art, and you'll be comfortable talking to high-net-worth collectors with polish and discretion.
- Drive matters here: the commission structure is generous, and the right person will be motivated by it.
The details
- Five days a week, based at the gallery on a rota, with occasional Saturdays.
- Base salary of £40,000–£50,000 depending on experience, plus significant commission on sales.
