Art Director

We're looking for an Art Director with big ideas, strong visual instincts and the craft to turn those ideas into brilliant work.

You'll be a conceptual thinker and a hands-on creative, able to take a brief from the first spark of an idea through to execution across multiple channels. Your portfolio should demonstrate strong visual thinking, beautifully crafted work and you'll have the ability to articulate the rationale behind it.

We're an integrated creative team, so variety comes with the territory. One day you might be developing a brand platform, the next creating a social-first idea, shaping a customer campaign or finding a compelling way to bring a complex B2B proposition to life. We've also just won an exciting new client spanning B2B and B2C, creating a significant new creative opportunity for the team and for the person joining us.

You'll work alongside Art Directors, designers, copywriters and Creative Directors, collaborating closely while confidently owning your own briefs. We want someone who can find the idea, push it further and sell it in, with a clear point of view on why it's right for the audience, brand and brief.

And ideas are only as good as their execution. You'll be just as comfortable concepting with a copywriter as crafting a layout, building a compelling deck, defining the visual expression of an idea or getting hands-on to make the work brilliant.

Our creative teams help brands find and express what matters most to their customers. We work across brand, campaign, content and customer communications, combining creativity, craft, data and technology to make work that connects.

That means different audiences, different problems and genuinely varied creative challenges. With new client wins and an expanding creative remit, it's an exciting time to join us and help shape what comes next.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Requirements

  • Ideas are your starting point. You can take a brief, find a distinctive way into it and develop it into a compelling creative response
  • You have strong art direction and design craft. Your portfolio demonstrates conceptual thinking, not just beautiful execution
  • You think across channels. You see social, CRM, digital, content, design and campaign as different expressions of an idea, rather than separate creative worlds
  • You can flex between consumer and business audiences, finding creatively interesting ways to engage both
  • You can own the work. You're comfortable taking responsibility for a brief while knowing when collaboration will make the idea stronger
  • You can articulate and sell your thinking, from an informal creative conversation to a polished client presentation
  • You value creative partnership. You actively seek out collaboration with copywriters from the beginning, recognising that the strongest ideas come from visual and verbal thinking working together
  • You push rather than settle. You're comfortable giving and receiving feedback and want to make the work better, not simply get it finished
  • You know how to use Gen AI creatively and intelligently. You understand where it can accelerate ideation, development and execution, but equally where human imagination, judgement and craft need to lead
  • You're highly proficient in Adobe Creative Cloud, particularly InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator
