As Art Director and Creative Producer at FGH, you will be responsible for shaping and delivering compelling campaign and e-commerce photography across our portfolio of brands, including Freemans and Kaleidoscope.

About The Role

Working closely with the Head of Creative, Buying, Merchandising, and Marketing teams, you will lead the planning, and execution of photography and content shoots, ensuring every asset reflects the brand vision and campaign objectives while supporting commercial objectives.

With curiosity, energy, and a passion for visual storytelling, you will continually seek opportunities to elevate our campaign and e-comm imagery, and challenge conventions to help push our brands forward in an ever-changing market.

This is a highly collaborative role requiring strong creative judgement, exceptional art direction expertise, production knowledge, and a keen eye for fashion and homeware styling. You will build trusted relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners, bringing together the right talent, locations, and resources to deliver best-in-class creative.

Accountabilities

Art Direction

  • Lead the art direction of seasonal campaigns, brand content, and e-commerce photography across lifestyle, model, and still-life imagery.
  • Develop moodboards, shot lists, and creative presentations that align with brand, customer, and campaign objectives.
  • Art direct photography shoots both in-studio and on location, ensuring imagery is creatively inspiring, commercially effective, and aligned to brand standards.
  • Direct photographers, stylists, hair and make-up artists, set designers, and other creative partners on set.
  • Maintain consistency, quality, and creative excellence across all visual outputs.

Creative Production

  • Plan and oversee e-commerce shoots, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest creative standards.
  • Support on campaign and content shoots, partnering with external production agencies when necessary.
  • Source and manage locations, studios, photographers, stylists, crew, and external suppliers.
  • Lead on shoot production, including schedules, call sheets, logistics, sample management, and shoot preparation.
  • Manage image selection and provide clear direction to post-production and retouching teams, ensuring final assets meet brand expectations.

Creative Network

  • Build and maintain a strong network of model agencies, talent, photographers, stylists, locations, and production partners.
  • Lead model casting and talent selection, ensuring relevance to our customer and alignment with our brand proposition.
  • Proactively identify emerging talent, trends, and creative opportunities that evolve and elevate the brand aesthetic.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner closely with Buying, Merchandising, Marketing, and Brand teams to understand product priorities, customer needs, and commercial objectives.
  • Present creative concepts, casting recommendations, and production plans to stakeholders, gaining alignment and buy-in.
  • Build strong, collaborative relationships across the business to ensure creative ambitions and commercial goals are successfully met.

Trend & Market Awareness

  • Stay informed on fashion, home, photography, creative, styling, and cultural trends, as well as competitor activity.
  • Identify opportunities to innovate and continually improve creative output, production efficiencies, and customer engagement.
  • Bring fresh ideas, inspiration, and best practice to the wider creative team.

Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience in Art Direction, Creative Production, and styling within a fashion, retail, or lifestyle environment.
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating campaign, e-commerce, and content photography.
  • Experience art directing model, lifestyle, and still-life photography.
  • Excellent understanding of photographic production processes, budgeting, and shoot management.
  • Established network of model agencies, photographers, stylists, locations, and creative suppliers.
  • Strong stakeholder management, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Commercially aware, with the ability to balance creative excellence with business objectives.
  • Highly organized, with excellent planning and project management skills.
  • Confident leading shoots, directing talent, and making creative decisions under pressure.

Team Management

  • Lead, mentor, and inspire members of the creative team, fostering a culture of collaboration, creativity, and continuous improvement.
  • Set clear objectives for direct reports, providing regular coaching, feedback, and development support.
  • Manage performance effectively, recognizing success and addressing challenges in a constructive and timely manner.
  • Support succession planning and identify opportunities to develop future creative talent.

About You

  • Able to commute to Bradford city centre and attend photo shoots on location, UK & overseas.
  • Proven technical and creative experience within fashion and lifestyle.
  • Expertise in art direction.
  • Expertise in shoot production.
  • Experience working as a fashion stylist.
  • A network within the fashion and lifestyle industries is highly desirable.
  • An understanding of budget management.
  • You are a proactive, self-starter.
  • Excellent communication and time management skills.
  • Excellent English written and verbal skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Strong organizational and file management skills.
  • Proven experience of managing teams/individuals.
  • Flexibility and enthusiasm, with the ability to work under pressure and sometimes to tight timelines, always maintaining a professional attitude.
