The Details
Title: Ultimate Art Leader
Reporting to: Camp Manager
Contract: Seasonal work in school holidays.
Hours: Tuesday to Thursday 8.30am – 5.30pm

Summary Of Position
The Ultimate Art Leader is responsible for the successful delivery of our Ultimate Art programme, whilst ensuring the welfare and safety of the children on camp is maintained at all times. We are looking for enthusiastic and experienced Art & Design teachers or professionals with qualifications (Art school/University degree) to help us create lifelong memories for the children in your care. In return, we provide training and support for all individuals and the opportunity to develop skills and knowledge of working in a childcare setting.
The role of the Ultimate Art Leader is to deliver outstanding art projects to small groups of 8 to 14 year-olds. You will take inspiration from the work of well-known artists and guide the children through different art projects using a range of techniques, tools and skills to create mini masterpieces. You will be responsible for motivating and delivering fun and exciting workshops and inspiring our next generation of artists!

You will ensure successful execution of all policies and procedures, liaising with parents, school representatives and Central Office where necessary. As well as leading art sessions, staff will contribute to the high standard of physical, emotional, and social care offered by the Ultimate Activity Company. There will be a Camp Manager on-site to provide support on care and parent issues.

- Deliver excellent and energetic sessions where all children can develop their skills, be challenged and have fun.
- Demonstrate the ability to develop and progress sessions for varying ages and abilities.
- Provide challenging content in a safe learning environment.
- Communicate effectively with children.
- Analyse performance and suggest areas of improvement.
- Supervise and engage with the children outside of session times.
- Continuously promote the welfare of the children in your care.
- Show high levels of energy, enthusiasm and professionalism, acting as a suitable role model for the children.
